Obvious isn't it?

Post by WelshGin »

I am 62 years now. It has taken most of those years before I have started to apply 'advanced learning'.

When I moved house there was a small shed left in the garden by previous occupier. I could see through the window there was little inside. I was going to remove the shed, but then I thought, wait up a bit, we haven't sorted all our rubbish yet.

A week or so later, I thought where can I store these old demijohns, wine bottles, empty packing cases etc. Are yes, the unused shed. I then remembered the shed had a little padlock on, for which I had no key. So I found my boltcroppers hanging in my shed which I had moved to new house and cut the old lock off. I put stuff in shed and fitted one of new padlocks that I bought previous week. That was at the beginning of September 2023. I have not had need to go into that shed until this evening.

Where the F*** is the key to new padlock. I have in recent months fitted a shelf near back door with cup hooks on for all the keys including my own shed that I moved from previous house. However, no key for old shed.

Oh well boltcroppers again, shame as new padlock virtually unused. As I went into my shed and reached for the boltcroppers, hung on large screw on wall. I realised where I had stored the missing keys. On another screw/hook next to the boltcroppers.
Good Eh! It's not offen I follow my own logic!

In a world where a bolt cropper can get the padlock off, and you don't even need a cordless angle grinder...... Why use a padlock at all.

" Good evening sir, I have noticed a long bulge in your trousers sir, are you
pleased to see me?" said the Copper. "No" I said "It's my bolt croppers so I don't
have to look for my keys officer".

That stage always leaves at the end of a long long week. It's slow the horses are knackered.
