There is a flock of Starlings that visit and strip our trees of Rowan berries at the end of every summer.
They seem to fly off in a straight line, leaving no winter food for resident blackbirds.

So, back on topic..
Yesterday, I finally got a sugar wash started, with nettles as nutrient.
You know that I don't muck about, I had a bag containing 750g of young nettle tops, (no flowers).
Simmered, and the juice added to 50 litres of water containing 10Kg sugar.
24 hours later fizzing merrily, if a little slower than my previous Lentil and Tomato.
No chance of this ferment being spotted from space
Very curious to see how it progresses and compares.

So, my piggies eat kale, they only eat the roots of nettles.
I think the piggies have the best deal.
I do tell the piggies, daily, that I am going to eat them.

They wouldn't think twice about eating you Robert :D I bet it's all they talk about to each other. When you look at them and think bacon sandwiches they are looking at you thinking Robert avec nettle roots

Believe me, the little feckers try to eat my feet three times a day!
I don safety wellies just to feed them.
It is a shame that I currently don't have a body to dispose of. :)
I am fully aware that if the little feckers tripped me up, they would try to eat me!
