For sure, donating a few quids is the easy bit.
Keeping the site up and running takes a little, (or a lot) more effort!
Go Moss!
Marvel comics should make you into a new Super Hero!
Robert.
Ask him on chosen colour of undercrackers as they will be on view to
the general public after his investiture.

Just to be clear to all, donations to this site currently arrive in my personal Paypal account.
Please don't forget to mark as "gift" to avoid fees.
And leave me your user name, if you want a "donated to" credit.
I sit on any donations for the good of all, until asked to pay server and domain costs by our brilliant IT guy, Moss, the magnificent.
This removes an onerous task from his workload.
Donations keep us advert free.
I advise our other admin. of donations receieved, if not posted here.
The reason that I state this, is because I want any donor to know that they are placing their trust in me personally, to channel their contribution to the place it is needed.
We are seeking a better donation system, difficult with a website dealing with illicit matters, if you know of such a system, please share it.
Check out my history, from this sites inception, and back through my many years on it's predecessor. Which, I now know was run for profit.
Like our other admin. folk, here, I have only ever given and never taken, (other than knowledge), from this forum.
We are here with a genuine wish to help. Not make money.
Anyway, Elecrafter made a further donation yesterday, for which I thank him.
I will try and "big up" anyone that feels flush enough to make a donation.
But, non-donating members and casual readers are just as welcome.
Between us we will maintain a "Happy House".
The important thing is the interaction.
So, please,get tapping.
There are many of you out there that I have admitted to the site, and welcomed, and no response, yet.
We don't bite here.
Don't be shy.
I hope to talk to you soon.
Robert.

I have searched and searched, but I can’t come up with an argument against that comment.

Elecrafter must have won the lottery, as he has since made a further donaton, thank you!
And thank you Pots for your recent donation.
Today I received a donation from someone that I ought to know,
No user name or message.
But thank you, kind donor, your generosity helps pay our costs and keeps us advert free.
Robert.
Edit; Sometimes I can be a little slow!
Mystery donor is JP1147.
Thanks mate.

You don't need to have a Paypal account.
Click on the paypal donate button, Paypal will guide you to making a one off card payment.
Don't forget to say that you are not buying goods or services, it is a payment to friends or family, that way we receive the full donation, no fees
Cheers,
Robert.

Won the lottery.. How did you know? I won £2.90 On the Euro Millions!
If I won £100m, the donation would have been a bit larger.
We need to keep adverts off this wonderful site.
In 1993 when I was introduced to the Internet (we became a very large ISP), and there was very little website / activity, mostly Unix Command line stuff!
The Gurus (Serious gurus at that) at work, said there is no such thing as a free meal, anything on the internet that is "Free" you will pay for it somehow, in private data, info etc. This is still true today, and even moreso. That was in 1993.
I am more than happy to pay a little to keep this site Advert free.
Thanks to all involved in running this site, and also to the users who provide insight, recipes, content and donations.
Lets keep it this way.
Thanks to all.
Ele.

It is posts such as this, that keep me going.
TBH, I think that I have all that I NEED to know about fermenting and distilling, for myself; although it is always good to learn of new twists and turns.
I am here monitoring the site, and trying to ensure that it continues.
And chipping in with nuggets of info. where I can.
I would also like to thank all posters for doing their part in this experience.
Without the membership, the site would be nothing.
Big yourselves up.
Robert.

I have PM'd bank account details, and copied Moss in.
May I take this occasion to say to all members, that whilst we are not currently short of funds, anytime that a member feels that we are doing something for the good of the community, please do donate, if and when you can.
No obligation.
Your money will be carefully guarded and used to pay for the costs of keeping the site up and running, free from advertising and 'Sponsership'.
Not a penny is taken by any of the Admin. staff, it all goes to running the site.
Robert.

Yesterday, Sunday, I received two site donations, via Paypal.
I thank both donators.
One has previously donated, is already credited as a site donator, and has asked not to be mentioned in dispatches this time.
If the second donator wishes to have status changed to "Valued Member / Donated to SS", he has only to Pm me, I do know who he is.
Thanks again.
Robert.

Thanks to all our supporters, we couldn’t do any of this, this way without your support.
When we started, I thought Easydrinker was mad, there was no way we could fund this without sponsorship, but I am happy to say that I was wrong.
Thank you all

Moss and myself banged heads at this sites inception!
He went out seeking sponsers, I swore at him!
Happily, he and I remain friends.
Happily, enough users value our efforts to donate something , if able.
Donating is not really a badge to be proudly worn, inciteful posts are just as worthwhile.
I talk shite, and so throw time and money at the site.
We happily share knowledge and chat for free, we want to keep home distillers safe.
I have received donations from £2 to £100.
From each according to his/her means.
To each according to his/her needs. Maybe.
A little Socialist "borrowing" there..
Thank you JedTodd for donating yesterday.
And thank you all for posting and keeping the site alive.
Robert
