Re the weight thing, I can recommend running. Try walking/running to start (say from lamppost to lamppost) then gradually build up as time goes by (say 2 lampposts running/ 1 walking). I drink as much beer as any of you I can assure you, but am not overweight (I'm 66kg), and I can burn 1,500 calories on a long run. It takes a bit of time, but you don't have to starve yourself in the process.
Go on Mash after you, age before beauty etc etc... Running Mash ha ha!!

I carry injuries and had major back surgery so running is not an option. I walk as far and as fast as I'm able most days. I live on the coast and am on a sea food diet, ie if I see it I eat it. That sums it up I like to cook and being a greedy fecker hasn't helped. I'm going to have to learn how to push myself away from my trough, plain and simple.
P.S. I feel so bad for those poor budgies

A good solid walk ,like a couple of miles to the Pub would be good
exercise and a reward at the end. Not yet though the Fecker is still
shut. How brassed off would you be BB all that walkin' and no beer!

I completed the couch to 5k program last summer and didn't lose a jot!

shape changed a bit though.
Haven't kept it up properly unfortunately, so this spring/summer the plan is to run/walk more and eat less!

My nearest lampost is 4 miles away!
My nearest Post box is 3 miles.
Not questioning that running can burn up to 150 calories/Mile.
And YOU do NOT drink as much beer as ' any of you' - especially me!
Beware sweeping generalisations...
One day lockdown may lift,
and I may get the chnce to prove this to you.

I don't think I have ever run 16 miles!
But even in the days before e-bikes, I could cycle 45 miles non-stop.
Robert.

A BAD night.
For the first time in a couple of years, I managed to waste some beer, by knocking the glass over my laptop.
Power off, battery out, and in the shower.
Dry thoroughly for several days.
Has worked in the past.
It did mean firing up a backup laptop, which took a while to wake up.
I only have two more of these, and may need to consider buying another if the remedial treatment doesn't work.
The SSD drive should be salvageable, if the machine is not.
Ho hum, clumsy, not pissed!
Robert.
