I agree. I agree.

I was listed as extremely clinically vulnerable during Covid. Unfortunately the NHS or my GP didn't advise me. They sent details to my house in Wales, where I haven't had permanent residence for 9 years. Odd as hospital appointments, letters from GP etc during that period were sent to my Shropshire residence.

Never mind, I continued to do my job including volunteering to sanitize ambulances as I had experience of certain ozone cleaning machines.

I was told I was lucky I didn't contract Covid. I pointed out that it was unlikely I would contract Covid as I did not allow the blood level within my alcohol stream to become too high. And of course Covid does not survive within alcohol.

So, I wholeheartedly agree with you Robert. Shame neither of us can receive said necessary chemical as a prescription?
Please advise if you know different.

24 hours ago I had a sick piggie.
Unlike his brothers, he had no interst in food.
Thankfully, during the day his appetite has returned.
I have never before known a pig to not eat like a pig.
He is due to be sausages by the end of the month.
His demise would seriously dent the Pork Futures trading of this location.

Was it just a bit of scour? Is there any dairy in the ration? Plenty of water.

Not scour, no dairy, drinking throughout and seen pissing copiously.
Best guess is that in the daily wheel barrow of grass mowings, that they get to fill up on, contained a twig or something that obstructed his gut and caused some discomfort.
He had another bad day today, but at the last feed he ate like a true pig!

His poo seems as regular as his brothers.
The good news being that 24 hours down the line, he is back, head bashing the others for the larger share of food.
He was around 75 Kg last time that I measured him, and is due to go off as a Porker within about 4 weeks, he should make 100Kg by then. a little bekind his brothers.
Baconers are too expensive to rear hereabouts.

Proper hybrid, 3 breeds in his make-up.
Mongrelisation usually makes animals more resiliant.
Anyway, he is eating like a proper pig today.
I am certainly looking forward to eating him.
It would have been a differerent story if vets. and meds. had been involved.

We have 3 Owl boxes up.
One has been taken by pigeons.
I swear that I just heard a conglomeration, or whatever the correct term is, of an Owl family in a tree outside my window.
They may not have hatched here, but they visited.

Bugger!

Planned my day tomorrow, great, continuing rebuild of gypsy caravan. My man cave.
Cleaning the bike, little jaunt only 10 - 15Km, probably into Ironbridge for an ice cream or a quick pint in the Tontine.
Marinated my lamb steaks in lemon, mint, rosemary and oil.
Opened a glorious heavy red to drink while cooking and add to the jus.
Defrosted some Rhubarb for the crumble, found some clotted cream.
Found my CD of 'The Cowboys', haven't learned all the words yet. Have the time, 'I am burning Daylight' - 'Hardly'.

And then, my wife informs me I am having a lie in and a long lunch at a local restaurant as a treat from one of my daughters as it is Fathers Day.

F*** it. Don't have kids unless you want this S***.

For over 30 years, I have topped the 15 acres of this smallholding with a Hayter mower, simple as sh^t machine, cut your leg off in a second, no Health and Safety considered in it's design.
Last Winter, bought at online auction an ex-Stirling council Scag mower, more than twice the cutting width, but un-tried or tested.
£900, it only proppelled on one side.
Was it the pump? was it the motor? (one each side, around £300 each plus shipping and VAT from the States, or more from your local vendor}.
Said machine was condemmned by council machine fixer and put up for auction.

After much head scratching, and trial and error, it appeared that council numpty employee had encountered an immoveable object, and used full power to overcome it, shearing the Woodruff key in the wheel drive.
Had to cut the castellated nut off, and it cost £20 for a new one.

Today it was field tested.
Now worth about £3.500, it did the biz.
So many fail-safes/dead mans handles to learn.
There is an amusing video available of it running away with me, before I realised that simply letting go would stop it.

Funny how letting go, ... usually stops it.

Unless it's a hole borer, then it spins around uncontrolled until fuel runs out. Bless. Don't exhibit too much of this, the young ones have to have the opportunity to cripple themselves and learn. Not enough apprenticeships and indentures involve blood and loosing fingers and limbs now a days.

Well done for surviving.

I am still suffering ijots who ask for a magnet to pick up plastic small parts. Rather not discuss this further.

Prolly weighs the same as my estate car, about the same effort to push, not running.
At current fuel prices around £40+ to fill the tank for around 8 hours use, but that should cover 16 acres, when I am brave enough to run it at speed.
The biggest problem is that the hand controls were designed for Desperate Dan.
You can certainly eat one of Aunt Aggie's cow pies after using it!
