Like you Mash I've had a crack at keyboards and got a guitar and Burton Weedon's Play in a day book one Christmas. By boxing day my fat arsed big sister had sat on my guitar and broken it, I never stood a chance anyway not having a musical bone in my body. She did me a favour really, saving me from months and months of frustration

I have searched high and low for that bone. Buggered if I can find it. Had lessons on the banjo.

Well Today I'm in the shed doing the spirit run on Myles rum recipe.
Seems to be coming out pretty clean.

I am going to learn the harmonica to play Midnight Cowboy. So at 60 years old, I have 30 years to learn, compared to Tootes.
This made me smile...Mrs Ice got me a harmonica one Christmas...(16 years ago

) I also have sucked and blown, it's still in my bedroom table to this day.....you know Welsh I'm going to take the little bugger with me in the truck I can make as much noise as I want in the cab on my own...
If I do manage to crack it maybe we should start a band....
Ice.

Nice to see you are better Ice.
As tempting as a harmonica is, I don't thing I will add it to the pile of instruments I can't play

Can I leave on the last coach with you guys. What time does it leave? Can I be the one with the shotgun? I will post a picture.
The harmonica practice is improving my breathing and chest rhythm, unfortunatly I still sound like an agrovated cat! I will not get on my bike again until spring so this little wind box has to keep me healthy. It is disturbing the wife and the cat.
The cat may have fleas. Either that or the wife has. I am the only one who is not scratching and has no little bite marks. I assume fleas are not alcohol tolerant.

Or perhaps fleas are not harmonica tolerant

Well after about a year out of the alcohol making game, I'm back.
The neutral supplies I made during lockdown are now running low so I figured I should dust off the boiler and get back to it. I've missed running the still, although not the constant set up/break down due to having no dedicated space.
Luckily I have 150 litres of wash which has been sitting for a year, 40 litres of which has just come up to temp on the stripping run.

I am in awe of your storage capacity. If I had made neutral during lock down then stopped, to still be drinking now, I would have needed a road tanker to fill before hand. So well done!
I remove my Reflux still (30L capacity) from the bathroom each time I use it and then set it up again next time. Set up/put away, max 30 minutes. 4 1/2 to 6 hr run time depending upon what I am doing. I use the AS to re-distill Gin with vapour infused botanicals, set up in spare room, or kitchen, wherever I am. 2 1/4 hr run time. Put it on while I am cooking dinner.
Do not make a drama out of a necessity. I now mine is small scale, but it is all encouraging.
Well done for producing again. Dont waste all that knowledge and experience.

Today. Is my Daughter's FUN (eral) party. Held at our local cricket club. 200+ guests, the theme, sun flowers, cup cakes, cakes, deserts, memory boards covered in photographs, wine, fizzy, Fireworks and pain.
I have cried, laughed, cried, laughed, cried, laughed and consumed a great deal of red wine and Gin.
Seen again so many old friends and acquaintances. My daughter left us, not quite 40 years old. Everyone giving me their thoughts and memories of Clare. I am humbled.
She was such a better person/human than me. I am a better person because of her.
Her achievements have improved the lives of 100's/1000's of children. She changed the opinions of many who have influence regarding these matters for years to come. She was far more intelligent than me, with a porpoise and compassion. I am only realising now how wide the impact of her activities had become.
Bless her. She left us to too early. I would willingly have taken her place, before and now. I now have something to look forward to, meeting her again.

Her achievements and her deeds will been carried in the hearts & minds of the many souls she touched.
Be proud to have been her dad. She would want that for you and always remember only the good die young (that would make a good song!

)

This is a mix of not drinking like I used to and storing at high abv (I wouldn't necessarily recommend that but I store in a "shed" away from the house so the risk of ignition or issues if anything happens are very low). I stored it in a corny keg which holds about 19 litres and doesn't take up much room.
If it wasn't for the wife's drinking I'd still have a fair bit left

Great distraction

I am...I've had several successful neutrals. A couple stalled but I think it was rubbish yeast. I've tried a new turbo so will be racking that tomorrow. I also have the cachaca almost ready. I'm really excited to try that one x
