Being a bit knackered, I have to use a mobility chariot to take the dog for a walk.
We live close to a primary school. The parents not only can’t park, they don’t give a fcuk.
The image below is at the front of my house. This stupid, ignorant cow knows that when she parks next to the lamp post, me and the disabled people in my little square can’t get out.
Yesterday, she told me that she was parking there because she had to take her children to school and that I had to wait until she returns. At times, she is there for an hour or two.
I have written to the school who don’t care. The bods at the council who control parking are uninterested as there are no yellow lines and the rozzers don’t respond at all.
I am all set to go to war.

In the news this week one street somewhere uses their bins to block the road outside where they live to stop folks from parking to use the hospital.

I would certainly be putting mine out everyday.
Line them up just in the gutter

It is something I am considering, as is the purchase of a valve removal tool.
I have written to the MP today and if nothing moves forward, the newspapers will be next.

No. Don't. That's a crime and you are very obviously the felon.

This came up in conversation yesterday.
Go to a car park and sweep up the very distinct glass litter left from a broken side window.
Spread on the ground just where the drivers foot lands.
Perhaps even point and say something like "didn't you see that on the news?"
No crime committed.

Only if seen or caught on CCTV.

Outside our 'in England' house we have 2 designated private parking places within a public car park that serves or local village. They are painted with white lines like the rest of the car park. As they are on the edge of the carpark I reverse into them. I don't always do it too carefully as the spaces are wider than normal spaces. So I am frequently at an angle or close to one edge of the lines. My wife often points out I am awful at parking. Not true, I just cannot be arsed outside my house.
At the weekend my 10 year old grandson visited, on departing he looked at the angle my car was parked at and commented. "The council should really employ someone to paint regular box's and straight lines" he then smiled at me.
That lad will go far.

I believe that the awful standard of driving we see is down to people just being taught to pass their test, and not how to drive, big difference!!
Of course, I don't include Gaza in that generalisation!

We were actually chatting about parking at lunch time today. One of my colleagues admitted to not being able to park but apparently her boyfriend got in the car and pointed out that the reason may be because her mirrors weren't even close to where they needed to be.
If you can't see where you're going that could be the cause!

I have changed my mind about Google cars. They don't need to be perfect, just better than the twerps we meet out there today.

Hum? well it's entirely possible that you may count among them. I know this from my "tennis umpire chair" position.
Most don't realise (or accept when pointed out - unless the person doing the "pointing out" has a funny shaped head with a blue flashing light fitted) their vehicular inadequacies.......
And no, I'm not a good driver. I like to think I'm reasonably safe, but the only evidence of that is my annual mileage and the number of problems (crunches) I have. Given that I haven't had a bump in the last 5+ years (and an average mileage exceeding 100k per annum), I think that safe is a reasonable conclusion

I have similar statistics as phantom, however the F****** council still can't paint the lines square to my bloody parked
car. This would further damage my driving confidence if I **** * ****.
As for others, poor training and no spacial or attitude awareness. Perhaps foreign.

Which direction were you driving at the time? Some people shouldn't have cars with the reverse option. Some people think there isn't a reverse option anyway!
And electric cars should make a noise when mobile....but maybe that's another topic.

Thee "Double Standards Agency" ie; the bunch of drongoes in charge of all to do with driving !
Sent all ADI's an E-Mail asking about Electric cars, anyone using, planning to buy and asking for
a list of vehicles owned or used . So I sent one...
Bentley Continental GT Speed 6 litre.
Mercedes AMG C63 6.2 litre.
Corvette Stingray 5.7 litre.
Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 litre.
So no I am not planning to buy an Electric, noiseless and lifeless thing anytime soon.
I am also retiring the Corsa very soon.
I have had no reply from the DVSA.

Yes Mash you know. The C63 is a 507 edition which I have owned for six years, the wife goes shopping
in it. I do track days in it!! The Vette is my babe its a 74 with a Newman tuned 350 V8, I have owned
since 96 and will never sell. It lives in my sons garage at his house with the keys in my pocket.

I think gaza wanted that question to be asked. Apparently it has little rings about 4' /1.2m apart on what would be the top of the 'T'. This is to clip ladies anklets to during pre Coital pleasure.
If they have not been discovered or used gaza wasted buying the car. Such is life.
You know what has been said, .... I spent my money on sex, drugs, and wild music, ....the rest was wasted.
(No listing of a 'vette' in there is there!)
Seriously I am envious, the 'Double Standards ' agency won't be impressed, they probably don't know what a Corvette is.
Good job you didn't describe at as a 350c", they would have thought you are a motorbike tutor!
