Most are intended for 1 plate, either perforated or bubble cap.

This is mine. Made deliberately with a deep bath on the plate. The central tube is an overflow into the boiler that has a hanging cup vapour lock.

I wanted to catch the liquid falling out of the column and re-distill some of it, instead of just allowing it to fall directly into the boiler where it would get diluted.
