Didn't want to bring the freeze jacking thread further off topic.

Having studied the pics., I can only assume that these are a couple of examples of really bad stills from
https://www.bryggforum.nu// ?

Some illicit stillers, due to location, have to think outside the box.?
The safety box also.
This is probably worthy of a thread to itself.
If I could think of a title for the new thread, I may have attempted it tonight.

Also because Swedish is a language that wants to F*** you over , it could also be Rött.
It depends on grammar rules I was never able to understand in school so no hope in hell of getting it right now

That is not a still, it is "ART"!
It would probably cost £1,000,000 if done by that Tracey Eminem woman!

It does raise a few issues....lid? Element? Particularly the plastic boiler

Fermenter bucker boilers is the norm over there. Also not sure if the coating in the cans are the best for you, I'm fairly sure they break down in contact with High % alcohol.
Also, the join of all cans were made with some form of silicon, I'm unsure of what's it original purpose is. And the offtake is a big old plastic hose as well.

Laugh at ED time. :)
Made a sugar/neutral wash today, usual 50 litres/10Kg sugar, not done one since June.
Added the yeast after aerating and scratched my head?
Didn't look right.
I only forgot the chuffing Lentils!
No time to mess about, added a little DAP, as always, and split 1/2 a tube of Tomato puree between the buckets.
My first T.P. wash now looks like a furiously fermenting Black Pudding!
We'll see how it turns out.
Live and Learn.

Don't imo add lentils. Make it an always intended to be test run TP.

It has now gone through the first vigorous stage, and looks like very dilute Tomato soup, as the yeasties regroup.
In the morning/later this morning, I expect full activity.
Loving the unexpected.
Smack my bottom and call me Susan again, but it was starting to become a little workaday.
Stilling was an adventure when I started.
I don't wan't it to become too routine. :)

Good lateral thinking there. Be interested to hear your findings. Like other growers I had a glut of fresh toms this year and did think "got enough passsata what about a nice neutral? "

I set 3x25ltr neutral washes last night, unlike ED I
did not forget the Lentils and all is well.
For those interested:-
25ltrs tap water at30c.
5kg T&L sugar.
200g red Lentils
50g Tomato Puree
1tsp Citric Acid
50g Allinsons bread yeast.
Its cheap easy works for me and produces a good clean neutral.
I then use this to produce my Gin Lake.
