Hey mash I discovered another useful freezer tip - make concentrated orange and lemon juice using a similar method to stripping wash
Would that work with pasata?
#NoFword

thats not how i meant it.
I prefer tar and feathers to the old sack cloth
I do believe that sack cloth is easier to remove than tar and feathers.
And might not hurt as much?
Robert.

That will be interesting. I think you might loose some of the flavour too. Keep us posted.

Self flagellators tend not to beat the one eyed snake.
Usually it is over the shoulder, back whipping.
Robert.

Moving along..
The weather has been awful here for the last 12 hours, wind and rain.
Made the best of it by making a beer.
Waiting for a space in the rain to go get a bucket to tip the spent grain into.
\\\\\\\hang on, one may just have arrived..
It did, mission accomplished.
Ethan Hunt, eat your own heart!

You are also about to find out how good your cuts are. To hangover to not to hangover that is the question.

A mate of mine asked me if they could borrow a big a saucepan "yes, but how big".
It was only then I realised how many I have - from 5 to 60 liters in various states of repair.

I smuggled a bit of rum into my works night out
Think the level of inebriation was due to the red wine and not the rum!

(that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)

Laugh at ED time.
Made a sugar/neutral wash today, usual 50 litres/10Kg sugar, not done one since June.
Added the yeast after aerating and scratched my head?
Didn't look right.
I only forgot the chuffing Lentils!
No time to mess about, added a little DAP, as always, and split 1/2 a tube of Tomato puree between the buckets.
My first T.P. wash now looks like a furiously fermenting Black Pudding!
We'll see how it turns out.
Live and Learn.
Robert.
Having distilled this one and run it through the Essencia, this is not the first night that I am drinking it, but one that I am trying to judge it.
It is not a Vodka, but is a pretty fine neutral.
Not much to taste at all, at 43%.
It prompted me to do another 50 lits, using just 100g Lentils, and the same in Sultanas, and a tube of Tom. Puree.
For the first time, in a long time, no DAP.
This wash has just had the second strip performed.
This looks, and smells promising.
Everyday is a school day.
You can get bored with a neutral, but you can do stuff with them.
Robert.

Not adding DAP will make a positive difference to the flavour.
