Anyone tried this Enzyme available on eBay?

Or one of the others from the same seller, I picked up a heavy duty 100 litre pot and a gas burner just before Xmas and I’ve got a sack of cracked corn crying out to be made into Bourbon, which has become my favourite tipple of recent times.

Of course actually making the stuff as apposed to just having all the gear is something else but I’ll post my progress as I go

That looks like an interesting product.
I have only ever used Alpha amylase.

For me I think I would use some malted barley

I get what you saying Mash, but a I don’t think it will be enough to rely on malted barley alone the recipe is mostly corn and when that stuff gelatinises it becomes a thick gooey soup of a mess!

Here’s a site with some info in all grain bourbon mash’s, they’re mostly around 70% corn with Rye and maybe only around 10% Barley

My thoughts, for what they are worth is that, saying you buy the smallest available amount of magic enzyme.
It costs you £5.25 per 25Kg sack at the suggested doseage rate.
Of course it might be worth every penny...
