So the man thinks we are going to get back to work does he?
I and almost everyone one I know changed there view about work, after lockdown.
Some changed jobs or did lees. But most gave up.
Did you? Are you going back? I sure am not.

I retired just before Covid started. I am 60 now and am back at work at the moment.
I will only work as long as I have to, I would rather be doing something else!!!

I wish I weren't...but I am indeed returning to the big wheels, the cost of living and a number of other items make it so and I'm 75.

That is sad news. I think everyone deserves their retirement.

Often an issue with those on fixed income. For ice to have kept up a commercial license medically isn't cheap.
I'm still on 5 yearly medicals, but once over 65, it's annual medicals. So keeping "the ticket up" over 65 is an expensive luxury if it's not being used (we have 2 at our place ATM and I know an owner driver who's 78).
But good luck and all power etc

The budget did something else. Your annual tax free allowance was frozen, so that makes current wages worth less and less in real terms. Plus it makes any decent wage increase worth less as well.
Equally (less on point but still relevant to how these twisting scum operate), apparently if you buy retail booze, cat or dog food etc, it attracts 20% VAT.
Oh sod it. I'm off to have a caviar sandwich (caviar is 0% VAT, because apparently it's "NOT" a luxury food)

Raw Cashew nuts zero rated roasted Cashews 20%.
Cheese Snips or Cheddars zero rated add cheese filling so cheese sandwich 20%
Digestive biscuits Zero Rated but cover in Chocolate 20%.
Its just a rip off as usual.

This is the old sausage roll gag. Cold it's good so zero rated. Served hot it is a meal so attracts VAT
Bonkers.
