TCP. Bloody big splinter.

I was sanding a piece of old timber to make whatever, cask, case, bottle holder, part of an edge broke away and imbedded itself in my RH finger, 2 no from my thumb. Having shone my phone light through my finger I can see it is about 18/20 mm long. The entry site has healed, however on the odpposite side, perhaps at an angle of 30deg down I have an eruption, puss, etc when I pierce it. I have used Mag Sulphate paste and a scalpel to keep it open, I have heard an audible pop when I squeeze it, but the f******* splinter won't come out.
I am now becoming addicted to the smell of TCP.
I think it's a child hood thing.
Splinter isn't bothering me, but the smell of the TCP takes me back and back and back.........

I do love the smell of TCP, But the wife hates it.
I find, an cube and a razor blade gets most splinters...quickly followed by TCP.
Go on, go on, go on

When I was a wee boy I was made to gargle with TCP, as I had tonsillitis.
A Gin formulation perhaps?

The tcp would have provided more power than the 2 stroke mix, that was the problem.
Splinter out, used the drawing ointment, magnesium sulphate paste, ..amazing.
