Still Smarter

The 76L of beer I made with the grain bill that was horribly miscalculated, has turned out pretty good but at a stonking 9% abv.
My first thoughts were just to run it through the still as it wasnt that good. However, a couple of weeks maturing and its almost totally clear, with a good flavour.
Mind you a couple of pints is more than enough for me.
So the thought on running it through the still have been shelved, and its being run through my kidneys instead!
I think I will do this recipe again, but ensure I get the grain bill correct this time.

The old adage of Measure twice, Cut once comes to mind!

WHY.. ...if you made a great beer with the original recipe, run another brew the same and see if you have a winning brew??????

I have had some like that "Bugger I forget the.." or "added to much.." but they get called experiments not accidents

9% !! Bloody'ell you must have to chew it to swallow.

It's a recipe from the 1930's that I was given. It looked way too pale in the boiler so I tipped in more grain and a couple of kg of dark brown sugar to colour it up a little. The original recipe was fairly good but only about 3.5%. I did have a lot of time expired grain, but still measured incorrectly.
I'll as if I can share the recipe as its owned by one on the multi national Brewers.
Mind you I might stick 4L thru the AS just to see what happens.
