Cheap chainsaws

I have just purchased a top handled 10" saw.
German brand, made in China, of course. Oregon chain and bar. £95 On your doorstep.
Brilliant, really pleased. It came recommended to me, I'm just sharing the love.
I am of course NOT recommending anybody to get a top handled saw unless you really know what you are about. These are dangerous tools. If you are unsure, get a proper chainsaw. Often referred to as surgery saws - and that is not always on the tree!!

I own three chainsaws, and one in pieces.
The cheap Chinese ones , with reputed bars and chains are good, while they work.
That would be the one and the one in pieces.
My two Husky's are the working tools, starting by the third pull.
And doing what they were built for.
I'm not dissing cheap, but do factor it in.
Robert.

Agree Robert. These are the better end of cheap. I asked myself how much I intend to use it, that and the new Stihl saws have left a bad taste in my mouth. Oregon bar and chain makes a difference. Its a value call.

Don't ask how, but I have a share in 50 acres of recently sold forestry planted land.
We are moving from conifers to decidous.
I don't have to fell the trees, but can collect in two metre lengths.
Dealt with the first trailer load last week.
Cut and split.
Nice.

Lucky man, our 9 Ton one bought a few years back was around £1400, but makes short work of, well, work!
And very low Elec. usage, I have measured it.
With one person at the levers, and another placing logs, we can fair rip through them.
With a third to throw the split ones into the log stores.....
Greased lightening!
We did pick up a second ton and a half this evening, while the swallows swallowed and the Cuckoos Cucked.
