Nice one Ice. Is that the evening when all the witches come out to
play and the wife rides her broomstick.

My mother in law is a witch, the only aspect of her I like is she is Dry, Dry as a witches tit!
She obviously has had a rough broom and she has splinters up her arse, etc. She does joke that she is a witch, I have believed her since the first day we met and I was unaware of her admition then.
She is old now, all those tight, drawn in lines on her neck look like wrinkles however I know they are scars from a previous hanging, what I thought was false tan on her legs are probably burn scarmarks from a previous 'burning'.
Her name is June and she lives in Glenfield, near Leicester.
And I have switched on the ground to air AA battery.

A bit less depressing now solstice has passed.
Sure, I appreciate it takes a while before we can see the extra daylight, but it gives us something to look forward to IMO.
Going to work in the dark and returning home the same always seems disappointing - cos the only daylight experience is work, work, work.

Mmmm, it's not yet 4am here and already light. Light enough to type this on my iPad anyway, you are right, days are getting longer. However at the other end of the day I am knackered so is still going dark early, unless my wife is playing with her iPhone, then 'we are stilll burning daylight'.

yes, recovering now. Not quite as flup. I am going to sleep late tomorrow if the cat allows it.
I am going to distill some bots in the AS I think. Have a chill day, I haven't been given instructions yet but hopefully I won't have to drive anywhere. Maybe a walk along the wharfage with the grandchildren.
Peace to all......X

It was useful when we ran DAF's, because the XF's used to have those double main beam lights i.e. the main lights, but at the flick of a switch, you'd have the additional main beams on the top corners of the cab, which extended the pool of light, but being higher up than "Joe Public" and his cars offering, you'd be both reflecting his mediocre candles and blinding the f****r from a high vantage point as well.
Todays Volvos aren't quite as good, but they do have very white LED's and I can point them up on a switch position, so that "usually" gets the point across.

Ok, ok it will get brighter for longer eventually.
The cat seems oblivious to the light ambiance. So, 05.45 this morning the wee beastie increases in weight rather like the Hulk and jumps on our bed repeatedly and then runs away. I ofcourse, now awake, suggest extra special attention to my wife, who then kicks me out of bed. I join the cat huffing and puffing.
Holidays, pointless switching the alarm off......

We have a wee dog who has gone completely the other way. Winter has driven her to bed and she gets up last... By a very long way. Think teenagers

So, I presumably have to wait a few years for cat to grow up.
My Youngest Grandson on visiting our new house for the first time entered our bedroom to find the cat on the bed. The cat disturbed by a stranger howled.
My grandson stepped out of the room and said 'Cat'. I said pardon, he re repeated 'Cat'. He then explained.....
A Dog, you pet it, love it, feed it, give it water and a warm place to live. The dog thinks your God.
A Cat, you pet it, love it, feed it, give it water and a warm place to live. The Cat knows it is God.
It is my fate, early rising for prayer!

I have a MAN that has adjustable lights, also when I'm on dipped and they leave headlights on, if I hold the light stalk up it adds the head & dipped together...

...naughty but nice...they soon dip....

Yup! I do give them the opportunity to dip their lights, but if they don't get the message, then I leave it on and move the angle right up to the highest position.
It generally works.
Though I also believe that before "they" can do their practical test, they should have spent at least 4.5 hours as a passenger of a LGV/PCV (either would do) and have a certificate of attendance, so at least they understand why they should stay the f**k back to allow large vehicles to do their manoeuvre as it's the quickest way that allows everyone on their way the quickest and doesn't require the large vehicle to do lots of small (and time wasting) shunts.......

I will see you, and raise you a lumen.
I installed a discreet osram light bar.
Not wanting to drill into the truck and thread wires I opted for the a wireless remote control.
The light bar was omg bright when I turned it on.
But it the remote control has a flash button. Which just upgrades it to weapons grade super white fast flashing fallen sun.

Why are we only aware of old men flashing, not beautiful large ladies? Even in 2024 the world is so unjust........
Happy New Year everyone.
