The joy of Giving.

I discovered a few years ago that a bottle of a pleasant well presented spirit is a much appreciated present. All the more so if it is 'home' produced.

This year I gave out 18 bottles to friend and family. I had previously found what their likes and preferences were.

Part of the joy of course is the great saving in expenditure. As only 1 of the bottles (passionfruit Gin) cost more than £5, the others all being below £4, I saved a great deal of money compared to the usual Christmas spend.

Yes, Christmas is a Joy.

Concur. My sister was "happy as Larry" with the litre sized "Cafelua" (Tia Maria/Kalua clone) that I gave her (she even bought 2 more bottles of the flavouring/thickening sweetener packs).

So it's no hardship to mix up another bottle or 3 (actually, I might just mix up both of them together, as that makes a full half gallon a.k.a. 3 x 750ml bottles, but put it in one of the half gallon DJ's that I have available)......

I think handmade anything is much nicer to give and receive than random commercial rubbish.
