Tonight I am drinking

Had bertha and bambi running again. Ran up 4.5 litres orange gin. With the left overs I've made 3 bottles of vodka. 3 bottles of triple sec.

Triple sec, vodka, lime juice equal measures = Kamikaze!

Nice one.

I reckon it could be a beer tonight. School night and all that 👍

Tonight I shall be drinking orange, apple & pear fruit and barley as tonight isn’t a Pepsi max night.

Very rarely drink alcohol. Pretty much only when I am on holiday, but I do tend to have a beer when I have my meeting in London. 2 beers, 2 or 3 times a year, then a shit load of cocktails when I are in Spain.

Tonight, her royal Cathness is drinking Sex in the shed - no cranberry juice, so she can’t have sex on the beach.

And, you are trying to express/convey?

It may have escaped your consciousness but this forum is about distilling.

IT bods, absolutely no connection with the altered states of consciousness that alcohol provides. None of those parallel /alternate universes within my consciousness (am I bi-polar, we don't consider that) ever focus on or become aware of 'squash'. It would be like kissing your sister (I haven't got a sister).

Where is the shed containing your wife? Blond, Brunette? Sorry I have assumed something female or male ( should be PC shouldn't we), if male do not PM ta.

Ooh, yes. In answer to your question.

Shouldn't be evasive or a Labour Party member. So Gin. Gin. gin.

Maybe a nice coffe bag and dark rum later. Bit of a problem there, I don't usually mix my drinks.

All should be alcoholic. Refer to previous post. Ta.

Ooh. OK.

I am drinking Gin, made with fresh botanicals (& Lemon, Orange, Pomello) on a copper Sputty within the vapour path of my Airstill. Made about a month ago. With a lemon wedge, large ice cube and full fat tonic. As I have stated before better than I could buy, lovely dry, piquant aromatic twang, beautiful

We hope you enjoy your squash and your wife comes back from the shed and finds your company acceptable.

I surmise that if someone has to drive this particular vehicle it is probably best they remain sober. Thank you.

I certainly would. Give me 24 hours and I will type it out and put it in the recipe section.

I will call it Fresh Botanical Citrus Gin. I started making it maybe a year/18 months ago after I was given a bottle of 'Silent Pool' Citrus Gin. Although I think (as my friends do) this tastes better. More flavour, Also far far far cheaper.

I pre- distill a sugar wash to produce 84% Abv nuetral using an old Still Spirits Super Reflux Still, nothing special. Then redistill using an Airstill and Sputty, with the bots and peel in a cloth bag on top of the Sputty.

Recipe, that is a list of bots and peel in the bag, I will type out later.

It is a pleasure to be asked. Although I admit it tastes good on the day it tastes far better after a week or two. I am 'laying it down' for Christmas.

If you have got the equipment but not the bots, PM me with an address and I will put the ingredients in a plastic sealed bag in an envelope and post them to you. It will only be app 50g for 2 bottles, 1 run of a 4-5 litre Airstill.

I fancy a go at some Limoncello. Think I’ll put some super strength to one side when I get the still out next week.

I put a recipe on here somewhere. I make it every month or so now. Beautiful, far better, very different from any pre made tack.

Grapefruit Gin.

I have been playing/practicing making different versions of Grapefruit Gin since Christmas.

So I have a few bottles I am supping on and considering how to produce a better version.

Firstly, PINK Grapefruit is where I think you have to start, that is the twang I am after.

Today I have VI distilled with a Beefy recipe (usually 2.5g of lemon peel), this same lemon peel, 20g of pink grapefruit peel, 2g lime peel. I have to leave it for a week, then I will taste...

Just that I've seen posts in many places that complain about them.

I mostly use SS Classic range ones as they taste the closest to the original (at least to my palate anyway).

I'm happy to try any though. Some of "their" top shelf and other liqueur type ones are pretty fair.

If the Ambrosia/Prestige brand ones, I like to try those in the smaller quantities they do (to flavour 750ml) as some of the haven't been as enjoyable (not to say they're bad, I loved the discontinued Cherimoya flavour vodka one and I get the Absinthe flavour one in larger quantity).

Plus the lack of hassle making them helps me with my rather rubbish time management.........

With my liquorice and aniseed Gin, Bllody lovely. I will not be sharing.

You have me Rocking Sir, you carry on.

I do love aniseed and Liqourice. Can one be prosecuted for opening packets of Liquorice all sorts, just consuming the pink and blue squidgy ones and then leaving the packs on the shelves? After all many people don't like those, I would be doing them a favour....,

I visited 'corner' shop again. I picked up 2 more bottles of 'D&B'. I was asked do I like it? Would I regularly buy? I said yes.

I agreed to have 24 x 500ml bottles for £18. Instead of a £1 each, yes please.

Have returned home to find D&B a really nice rich drink with the SS Classic Dark Jamaican Rum.

I am drinking this tonight.

Ooh yes these things have to be done.

'Wet Tee Shirts'. What a waste, drink it don't spill it. Bloody kids.

That rum, quite intoxicating, anything less would be like kissing your sister.

Grapefruit Vodka & Tonic, Ice & a slice.

Surprisingly, for me as I do not generally like vodka, Bloody good. The relatively new SS Topshelf essence.

The other essences in the picture you can see. All worth the cost. If you cannot party with these guys, which your friends will thoroughly enjoy, you are reading the wrong forum. Eh Eh!

Ooooo! just read WG's post about D&B with dark rum. I mixed up a half gallon of SS Calypso Rum yesterday evening, so it looks like I'll have to nip round the Co-op for some bottles of D&B.

The rum is v tasty (IMO that is) with ginger beer, but I'd never thought of trying it with D&B.........
