The loss of any/many such creatives gets us many ways, but also reminds us of our own limited time.

Equally, enjoying the creative persons work makes it more grievous as it digs directly to our individual nostalgia (and we all enjoy/like/prefer different artists/actors or whatever).

Even worse when it transpires that they took their own life when they still made enjoyable performance etc (Bourdain and Robin Williams come to mind).....

I miss John Wayne too. Repeatedly.

I may have to watch 'the Cowboys' or ' the Shootist' again. But they always make me cry. My wife tells me I should take anti depressants, why.?

I know you cannot feel speed only acceleration and deceleration so I accept the laughter and the tears and move on.

I always cry at 'field of dreams' , dead poets society & meet Joe Black'. Moving on.

I absolutely love old movies, majority of them Black and White
I also am amused by some Youtube reaction videos, mostly by attractive young women.
I'm an old pig.
EVERYTIME I watch a reaction to "Field Of Dreams", I confess I tear up at the end.

Favorite John Wayne Movies in no particular order.
The Quiet Man
McClintock
& not quite sure how to post youtube videos here:
1965 In Harm's Way with Patricia Neal. Cigarettes got 'em both.
