Yes.

What is going on?

A more complex question. Keep in mind I live in Alabama, THE most red (Republican) Pro-President Trump State in the US.
Many of us will point you in the direction of George Soros, billionaire world anarchist. I would refer to him as a Holocaust Survivor, but that glosses over exactly what he did to survive - or thrive - in that horrible situation. Feel free to check him out.

Not only has Soros been funding not "liberal" - actively Radical - politicians especially to populate the justice systems in cities and states.
That's just the tip of the iceberg and I'm trying very hard not to get SO long winded on Forums.
Just to say, God Help Us All!

They are f#cking out of control over there, federal agents shooting dead an intense care nurse armed with a mobile phone! WTF

The federal agents should be jailed for life.

This is what happens when a particular political issue/promise becomes more important than laws, rules, normal judicial tactometry, basically when an individual in a power position thinks that he is above the law. In this case, it's the war against illegal foreigners. In order to expedite the promise to expel illegal immigrants the ICE people have gotten a shortened training, and I can personally only assume that the hiring process was lax too. Basically, hire idiots and provide them with guns and some sort of authority and what you have is a crystal night, reference to 1938 Germany. A monkey can see it coming but it's not always monkeys that call the shots.

I am sure normal, educated, law enforcement officers are looking down at their feet in shame for what is happening.

Distillers can & do disagree on stills, mashbills, yeasts - all the different things that go into making a little bit of alcohol.
So it shouldn't be any kind of surprise that we would also disagree on things like cultures, politics and all the things that come with it.

One thing I especially appreciate about Mash and this site is that we can discuss stuff like this and
HOPEFULLY agree to disagree.
A lot of forums immediately pull down any thing that even sniffs of politics.
Again I hope we can be better than that. Even if you or I get pissed off about a difference of opinion, be pissed and then get over it.

I don't have any idea what that guy was REALLY doing there. I do know he showed up in a volatile situation with a hand gun.
Not a $150 what we call Saturday Night Special, but a very nice looking $2000 + semi automatic with a couple of clips of ammo.
I know a lot of people do not understand the American Gun Culture. It is what it is and as hard as some liberals might try, it is not going away.
But that's a different conversation.

He had a right to be where he was carrying that gun.
A right but very VERY poor judgement and he paid a price for it.

I don't understand Minnesota, Minneapolis in particular. But I have my ideas and opinions.
You have professionally paid organizers and demonstrators. And a radical governor and mayor ramping up the conversation and encouraging citizens -
mostly old white people - like me - to fight the federal government trying to enforce the law - NOT like me.
So you have ALL these people in the face of these federal agents - who are just regular guys.
Throwing snow balls, rocks and other stuff, screaming and spitting in their faces.
Local police have the duty and obligation to protect both the crowds AND the agents - apparently they are told - stay out of it while it escalates.

So this guy makes it a point to go into a highly charged situation and show what could easily be perceived as a threat to the officers.
So they eliminated the threat as they've been trained to do to protect themselves.

That's what I believe based on what I know right now. Subject to change.

By the way, one more thing to interject.

One of my closest friends for almost 60 years is what we call a "Yellow Dog Democrat".
"He'd even vote for an old yellow dog if it was a Democrat (liberal)".
And many people today are "Yellow Dog Anti-Trumpers".
Whatever he advocates, they are against. ONLY because it was his idea.

Usually Jack & I avoid talking about politics. But occasionally, and like the other day talking about Minneapolis,
we got into "a spirited discussion" of the subject. Including telling each other that "you're wrong and full of shit!"

But like always, we end the conversation with,
"I love you Brother."
"I love you too. Take care!"

Y'all take care.

I wonder if anyone had any guns besides the idiot who shot someone.

Period.

When I have carried, it is evident and any other fucker can see it. I have walked away without using said weapon and so has everyone else. That's peace making.

Idiots considering some other objective should not be there.

Back when I was much younger and MUCH crazier I found I actually did a better job keeping my cool in my car when I knew I had my pistol in the glove box.

Walter Hudson is a Minnesota state Legislator.
His video is trending hard and fast here in the States.
Perhaps it helps explain a little about us.
