May differ from where you are "originally" from.

My family came from Ireland 4 generations back, but I am definitely not a potato!

I'm with EchoSevenNine, I consider myself to be from wherever I currently reside.
I'm from a few places.
Right now I have been an honorary Scotsman for more than 25 years.

Me, I'm from Sunny Scunny but came down to Cornwall in the South West for two weeks work at 19 years old, 30 years ago.
Sat at the top of a cliff looking out to sea I decided that if I was going to continue been skint, I might as well be skint in a better looking place and decided to stay.
Regrets, none at all.

A fantastic word Mash. One that is used regularly by my wife.
There is such a difference in the way people speak down here. Just five minutes up the road you find them talking in a completely different language.
