What do you listen to when you're passing time doing a spirit run :D. I have eclectic taste music-wise, but tonight I listened to old faves. I chilled out to Nick Drake, Ron Sexsmith ( yes really, thats his name) check out,' Secret Heart, and Ben Clemantine. And the late great Frank Zappa obviously.

I have a personal, owned, (on hard drive), large library of music going back to being a small school boy.
I have a seperate laptop, designated 'The jukebox',-backed up, twice.
Spotify and youtube sometimes help me expand it.
A lot of modern shit is modern shit.
It always was.
There is just more of it now.
My cat seems to like jazz, so we listen to that sometimes when I'm stillin' 'n' brewin'.
Listening to Bob Seger currently also. The cat approves.
MOR, maybe, but I wish I had seen him live, back in the day.

I think "Lockdown" has shown me that the gigging that I was doing before it, has to slow down, while I want to get out and mingle, a certain perspective has come into play.

Older and wiser, maybe older and sadder.
That's life, suck it up and carry on. :)

Robert.

I've checked out quite a few of the artists mentioned and like many of them :D I have to say I like your taste in music Gaza, love a bit of Cream. I like a bit of blues now and again, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon et al not too much though it can be depressing, like country and goddam western. Some Floyd is good. I like bits of all sorts of weird stuff. I hardly ever listen to more than two tracks by the same band/artist I listen to everything through my headphones on spotify shuffle play :D don't want to upset anyone. All my hi-fi is knackered/outdated, I must get myself updated and look into getting a streamer sorted, one day.

With you on liking variety.
I will not allow a Spotify algorithm to shuffle my listening.
No more than I have allowed Windows media player to do the same for the last 20 years.
Having my music library on a computer does make finding somethinng that I want quicker.
But I want ultimate control. :)
