nuts and all that nut oil contained therein.........
Difficult to work with in the home environment. Got me wondering how they apply the flavour (the almond part, not the sweetness) to Amaretto ?

I did find several recipes for something more clear, but a clear drink wasn't what I was after. I was going for the opaque look of pecan pie filling. With the method I used, it won't clear. It does separate slightly, but the one inch on the bottom is still cloudy, just less so, and a quick shake blends it right back into uniformity.

Two things I found in my research for this experiment. First, you can do some amazing things at home with a Vitamix. Second, compared to other nuts, pecans blend up silky smooth with no "nut grit" to strain out.
