That looks good to me, and that amount of copper should help in the taste of your product.

It will be interesting to see how much noise these make.

Coins jump about, stopping superheating. Not sure these will. Let us know please.

Hmm.. I guess so, these must be lighter than copper coins. I hope my Smartstill arrivies today so I can start.

Let us know if it arrives Dynamic.

Did you know that over the border in The Netherlands there is a guy who runs distilling courses called Odin?

They sound awesome! Me and a friend are booked into one in June.

It's here! (and already doing is job)

My copper wires are totally useless cause I got some 'stone things' now (guess it's the same).
+ 100 ml distill conditioner
+ 2 bags active carbon
+ cleaning stuff
+ funnel filters

Don't take this the wrong way but you really want to get some copper in your still somehow - coins, tube, wire - whatever. Your product and your tastebuds will thank you in the end!

It is a chemical reaction with, IIRC, the Sulphides.

Not wishing to rain on your parade/holiday break, and having the greatest respect for lots of Odin's online stuff, are you really expecting to learn much more then than you can online and with a little 'try this yourself at home' type of effort?
Maybe it is the break from home, the chance to meet other illicit distillers, a country with legal Ganga?
Nearly forgot the ladies of the night,or at least Tea-time onwards.
None of those are reason enough for me to make the trip.
I wish you well with it, hope you learn something, it doesn't cost too much, you don't catch anything contagious, and don't get picked on by the UK sniffer dogs in Customs :)

This article is a bit geeky to try & get your head round if you're not that way inclined but it's useful in understanding what copper is doing to your spirit

Benoit's linkie doesn't work (at least for me) but bizarrely I've posted a link to the same article in the General Chat / Copper Coins thread - this should work for anyone interested..
