Don't take this the wrong way but you really want to get some copper in your still somehow - coins, tube, wire - whatever. Your product and your tastebuds will thank you in the end!

Not wishing to rain on your parade/holiday break, and having the greatest respect for lots of Odin's online stuff, are you really expecting to learn much more then than you can online and with a little 'try this yourself at home' type of effort?
Maybe it is the break from home, the chance to meet other illicit distillers, a country with legal Ganga?
Nearly forgot the ladies of the night,or at least Tea-time onwards.
None of those are reason enough for me to make the trip.
I wish you well with it, hope you learn something, it doesn't cost too much, you don't catch anything contagious, and don't get picked on by the UK sniffer dogs in Customs
