Re: Essencia Carbon Filter
Hmmm well emptied the Z filter on Saturday which I had filled with the finer carbon.
Well I say emptied wrestled more like it had set half solid. carbon everybl..dywhere wife not impressed.
Just too tight to buy an essencia when ive got 3 or 4 carbon charges left.Of course that may change ........

AT - look around for self fusing silicon tape. Its great emergency repair stuff for our purposes, Its a bit pricey but sets rock solid, but also easy to cut off.

Re: Essencia Carbon Filter
Cheers CC I'll look out for that
Poured it back into demi's for now untill essencia arrives
Are lots of you still successfully refilling the carbon cartridges ?
And I assume you pass spirit through once only not twice as I've been doing with the Z ?

Re: Essencia Carbon Filter
I only filter once and get brilliant results every time.
Refilling the Carbon filter is very easy and well worth doing.
The Essencia is a relatively slow filter but that's a good thing because I think that's why it only needs one pass.

Re: Essencia Carbon Filter
I always leave around 500ml in the Essencia to keep the filters moist and prevent nasty smells developing. Works for me.
