Re: What I Did Today
Doing a spirits run now that I have collected enough to fill the t500. Working on some panty dropper, looks and smells great. Trying to figure out how to adjust the % abv in this thick syrupy goodness.

Did a spirit run on 40 litres of a 4th gen Bourbon wash. Averaged out at 2.7 litres per hour. Not as much foreshots this run. About 100ml all up. Smell was so nice. Took a sample half way through the hearts.
Mmmmm. Taste gets better every generation.

What do you use to flavor your sambucca?

I'm currently part way through a Fine Scotch Whisky spirit run (40l charge) and expect to keep it 'slow' at about 2lph whilst collecting 15 or so litres....hmmmm longish day but it'll be worth it
This stuff smells simply wonderful as it comes off the potstill!

Re: What I Did Today
Started my new wash yesterday. Sugar, nutrient, and dady yeast. Only difference I used Alcotec 48-hour Turbo Yeast last time. Big difference it that I put anofe to get it started one night & add rest the next day. Beware the Alcotec will make a volcano effect if you add to much at one time.

Re: What I Did Today
Ran my first ever molasses mash in my t500. I removed 1/3 of the ceramics from the tower to allow some flavoring to come through . It dropped the abv to 180 and for the first time I was able to distinguish the difference between heads, hearts and tails. It has a very pleasing odor of molasses and didn't burn the hair out my nose.:-) diluted it to 60% and ran it through the filter and it only got better. Woohoo. I will let it sit for a couple days while I figure out what I want to do with it. Thanks minime for your on this.
