Re: Thinking of selling up

Good to know it’s being put to good use, I’ve been busy with work for quite a while now after I got a promotion.

As for hobbies I had a couple of weeks off in August last year and decided to build a PC flight simulator, at first with cheap, second hand parts but now 12 months later it’s got quite a ...

Re: Thinking of selling up

@Mash

It’s been a while and I’ve been wondering lately if your mate got to grips with the Still?
So I thought I’d pop up and bump this old thread, I do sometimes miss the old distillation game but I don’t really have time if I’m honest with myself, there were two corni keg, one full of rum strip ...

Re: Thinking of selling up

Hi Guys

I’m officially out of the game, sold the family silver (or stainless Steel in this case) to one of Mash’s mates.

Big thank you to Mash for putting me in contact with the buyer.

Happy stilling everyone and stay safe 👍🏻

Re: Electric cars

I had a Mercedes C350e for 3 years, it was a Plug in Hybrid and I can honestly say I never plugged it in as there was a setting to charge as you drive.

On paper it did 134mpg, reality was about 34mpg, it had a 2lt twin turbo petrol engine giving just over 200bhp and an 80bhp electric motor with a ...

Thinking of selling up

Hi Guys

I’ve come to the stark realisation recently that I’m probably not going to be distilling anymore, it’s been over a year since I made some finished spirit and I have to say my relationship with alcohol has changed somewhat.

I still drink but to be perfectly honest, I don’t want to for ...

Re: New Year's Resolutions .....

Hi All

Cars ordered so no going back now, took a little longer than expected as my company wouldn’t let me have the M Sport trim, apparently sporty trims are not in keeping with the company image, so instead of a plain white M Sport model, I’ve ordered a Sunset Orange standard model 😂

Re: New Year's Resolutions .....

Happy New Year Guys

I’m going to get a full electric car, don’t like the look of Tesla’s so I’m thinking a BMW i4 Grand Coupe M Sport, it’ll required a 32 amp charging circuit being installed in my garage!

That will come in handy 😂

Waste of electricity in this weather!

Anyone else running their still in this weather?

With the XMAS deadline looming I’ve no choice but to crack on and strip a wash, just feel like I’m throwing good money away by doing it in the freezing cold!!

I’m surprised my wash wasn’t frozen as it’s been sat in the still for a week!

Thats heading the right way.

This is the problem with modern medical care, Doctors are very good at proscribing pills to treat various symptoms, but they don’t tackle the underlying root cause of the disease!

For example Type 2 diabetes is a combination of ...

Re: Good news yesterday....

It’s our modern diet, full of processed carbohydrates, sugar and seed oils.

We didn’t evolve as a species over the last 3 million years eating carbs everyday! In nature carbs become available in the autumn to help us fatten up to survive the winter, these days winter never comes!

I eat a low carb ...

It’s the first of two 40lt wash’s, I normally make 3 for a neutral run but been lazy this time!
