Sounds like we all got into the brewing game at young ages, at the age of 10 I remember regularly making something called saspirella, it came as an extract in a little jar, I don't remember it being alcoholic but you did ferment it in a demijohn so I suppose it could have been.

I can understand some peoples reluctance to take onboard some of the stuff on You Tube as a persons channel is their own creation/opinion, as is someone's right to believe what they are hearing.... Or not.
I tend to use the three points of contact rule, ie, if you see it on YT, read it on a forum ...

As a total nooob to distilling, I have, as you can imagine been gathering as much information as possible prior to my first run and one of those sources has been the blessed You Tube.

I was wondering what your favourite YT content providers are and if you'd like to share them with us all ?

I can feel the pressure rising now for me to get my first run done. Dextrose arriving today by all accounts but it will be up at work so won't get access to it until I get back off holiday next week. :roll:
