Well.. I thought I had made a rather poor neutral so I ran it thru the AS with my new gin basket ( I can't believe it's not Gordon's recipe)The result was rather poor or so I thought. Today (a couple of weeks later) I sampled it and to my surprise it's actually rather good. In fact it's so good I'm impressed! Just a touch of tonic and a sliver of lemon zest (NOT a slice) and it's rather good. As good as any shop bought Gin IMHO perhaps better. It's my first real success. Big grins all round here!

It was my understanding that as per ED's comment, that once run, it needs a bit of steeping time to develop the recipe/flavour.......

As I seem to recall reading that somewhere (from Mash, or maybe Gaza?)........

Edwatters, it was from the Recipe Section under "Almost Gordons Gin". I am afraid I don't have any spirit recipes of my own yet, as I'm a complete beginner. Hence all my SBQ's (Silly Bloody Questions)

I didn't know about leaving it to steep and mingle the flavours. It's a bit obvious when you think about it! I've learned something new, but then I suppose its a question of knowledge and a large helping of patience! I'll probably do that for other brews in the future.
