Where I am today

Post by Easydrinker »

It is late, and I am a little pished.
Why not borrow from the old site a popular topic..,...

What I Did Today

Post by YHB » Sat Mar 02, 2013 1:57 pm
Why not write a couple of lines about what you did today.

Today I did two 24 litre strip runs.
I made another batch of Peat reek, my method.
I had a Clarinet lesson.
Not really true the last line, but here I welcome all to mention something significant in their day.

Even the title made be giggle...

I am still seed wresting... Not quite warm enough to go outside but running out of windowsills.

Have to say milk bottles make brilliant plant labels.

Where I am today

Post by Easydrinker »

I have two large electric propagators on in the greenhouse,
Next weekend I will need to pot up and heat the greenhouse at night.
I have radishes coming up in the poly tunnel.

But today I had my first use of my Klarstein Mundschenk Mash Tun. :D
Started on a new whisky.
As I am a cheapskate and not wanting to pay extra for Peated malt, I threw a couple of large spoons of my peat reek shavings in the wash.
It smells really nice where I live tonight. :)

I am getting low on ale. I have to get overnight mash under way soon. Summer drinking could be at risk.

Today I fed some spent grain to the piggies and got aother whisky wash going.
Caught the last mole of the season.
Wrote some invoices to local farmers.
They usually wait a full 30 days before paying.
Surprised today, one paid after only 26 days!

Long day in the saddle today four happy learners and one
very knackered instructor. Some say I have it easy just
sitting there. I say only two types of instructor, the quick
and the dead!!

there are no old bold pilots.

I have acted as un-official instructor a couple of times, and I would need danger money to take the job on full time. :)

I am enjoying my Easter break, with nothing to do but watch ewes lamb, and Easter bunnies lay eggs

Me,? I spent most of today bashing 10" high frothmonsters back into the buckets with a big spoon.
I need taller brew bins.
Where will it end :D

Is it true that Haggis have four legs?
Am told if they live on a hill that two legs are shorter
so they can stand straight?
Are they hairy?
What sort of noise do they make?
Sleep standing up?
Shag on all fours?
I want one. Keep it in a box. Feed it on curry and chips.

I showed my Mrs the basics of driving and it nearly killed a 20 year relationship.

Couldn't be a driving instructor for double my wages.

Over 30 years ago, my elder brother was a cabbie.
He told some stories, I am sure all these stories are all in the same vein.
Let's move on. and leave it to the imaginations of our readers.
