I've seen many daft or inappropriate tats Mash. Saw a daft lad with 'Hells Angles' across his back once and my neighbour has 'Born To Be Wild' emblazoned across his chest. He's not far off 70 now, it should be born to be mild we all make mistakes though eh. The best tat I've seen was an ex army lad who'd lost his arm at the shoulder, he had an amazing sharks head tattoo on the stump totally awesome

Smart maybe a packed section above the bubble plates (presuming the window sections are bubble plates of course) and maybe straight to azeotrope on 1 run ?

Hi Phantom, long time no speak!

Yes, it’s 4 plates with a 500mm (SPP) packed section, however the columns empty at the moment just a glorified tube, I always strip two x 40lt wash’s then setup the column for a spirt run.

Although I’m tempted to try a second run with just the plates fitted, I’ll take a heads cut and collect until I sense the tails are coming.

Then do the final spirit run with the full setup.

Many years ago, a 16 year old lad at my school went to a lot of effort to fit studs into the back of a new black leather jacket.
He very expertly spaced them to spell out "HELLS ANGLES"!
No-one had the heart to tell him.
At least that was not a Tattoo!

Done the bash a couple of times, and let's just say that it's brave of Warwickshire Police to put a caravan outside (unnecessary, as they Police their event themselves - never any bother as far as I know)........

Brilliant nice and flexible. Plates and/or the half metre of app should do the biz.........

What's the strength with just the app and no plates ? Only as I'm still mulling over the what and how for the eventual column for the milk churn boiler I got off ice.

I suppose I could get away with a delphleg and a decent length of spp as I still can't be doing with all the extra effort for "proper" stuff, so neutral it is for me.

I suppose I could do as above then if I need to, get some plated sections of I branch out........

My 'local community' (160 households, farms etc), now owns 40 acres of woodland, obtained FOC from the Forestry Commission,( by some clever scheme wrangling) and are slowly re-planting native trees to replace Sitka spruce.
Last year we had a big digger go in to create a wildlife pond, fed by natural rain run-off.
The pond is slowly establishing itself, naturally.
This week some plonker let 7 young domesticated ducks free on it, for reasons that can only be guessed at.
The poor feckers had no idea of how to free forage or fly to better forage.
They were starving.
It did not take long to catch them and bring them home.
A Silver Appleyard drake, a Welsh Harlequin, a couple of Khaki Campbells, and others as yet unidentified or cross bred.
All I would guess hatched this year.
They are now wormed and in a pen.
Two more wormings in the next two days, a couple of weeks in quarantine, and they can join our ducks.
We needed to increase our flock anyways.
A satisfying day.

I have learnt during 2020 and that is that Joe Public is a bit of a twat. Common sense seems to be in quarantine too. Perhaps it should be re-classified as a super power! Perhaps a good slogan for a tee shirt.

Apparently, during lockdown, incubators were in high demand.
I suspect in this case, someone bought a couple of boxes of mixed hatching eggs and an incubator.
Then lost just under 50% of brood, as we always do with an incubator,- always better to use a broody hen.
And then the hatched ducks started quacking, (Drakes don't).
And the neighbours in sub-urbanville started to complain at the noise, the twat family realised that they had not the space, objected to duck shit on the lawn, whatever.

Before bird flu, backalong, we kept geese also.
When people turned up with their dog crates to take away goslings, they would be horrified to discover that the birds were quite vocal.
They usually left with empty crates and broken dreams.
To this day we use the phrase 'prospective gosling buyer' as a derogatory expression.
