Bardcore
This one nearly snuck by me,
It seems during lockdown that some folk have been making music by making modern music sound medieval, and spawned a new genre, known as bardcore.
Some is good, some is bad.
For myself it is the vocal tracks that are the winners.
I offer two links for your perusal.
From the best that I have heard.
You will like it or loathe it.
You can guess which side of the fence I sit!

In fact have a third, who doesn't like Jolene?

Re: Bardcore
I do beg thy pardon, goode sirah, the Paint it Black cover is indeed in all likelihood, the most monsterous of male vocal covers, in this genre.
It doth sadden me that the skullard, hath not entrained his voice to that of the Lyre.
He soundeth not at all like Sir Mick of Jagger.
Robert.

Re: Bardcore
Many covers don't do the song(s) justice, yet some songs are crying out to be covered in a different style.........
But I'll just stick with my rock based stuff...........

I was looking at youtube and came accross America's got talent top ten, or something close to that. Not something I'd normally do but I'm glad I did. Marcin Patrzalek did a truly amazing audition and Taj Farrant is another truly amazing guitarist. Check these two out, you won't regret it. I'd put a link up if I wasn't thick

Thank you Jenny, I'm totally ignorant computer-wise. Must try and make the effort to learn a bit more about them. The young lad Taj is incredible, his rendition of Comfortably Numb on YouTube is absolutely brilliant
