I know exactly how you feel mate. I too am a self made, self employed,
self motivated and as a result make all my decisions. But these are very
unusual circumstances and although I feel I need no protection from this
thing from China, a lot of my elders do need my help ie; don't spread it
around, wash hands, keep distance, wear a mask(most should in daylight
anyway). If these measures save just ONE old biddie it's all been worth it.
Hopefully it will only be 4 or5 months and I can get back to my plan, which
is F off to the Windies with my GF and watch some Cricket in the Sun.
Offered to take HWMBO but she hates Cricket, just didn't tell her where.

I can think of a couple of old folk that I don't want to go, due to Covid.
I can think of a couple more that I care slightly less about, but even those, I rank above myself.

Let's seek a parity here.

As part of my social conscience, and because of my, mostly good, medical condition, I qualify as a blood donor in the UK.
I have done this, when able, for more than 40 years.
I've missed a few sessions , when overseas, but a couple of years ago, I was awarded a chunk of glass for 75 armfulls of blood.
I would like to make it 100, before I can't anymore.

My point is, that through the last 40 years of good times (?), I have tried to help, in some small way.
Am I going to waste that effort, in a crisis, when salvation may be so close?

I will stick with the 'face-nappy' for as long as it takes.
And social distancing, and all the other measures that keep this virus from spreading.
