Re: Where I am today
So I have deflected and absorbed more irrelevant shite from Chinease, Japanese and Eastern Europeans.
I need to relax.
So my next question is, what the Fecke were 206 of you discussing on April 17, 2020 at 1.17am in the Fecking Morning, or whatever date/time the info at the bottom of the board index page states.
I am more curious about that than the idiot rubbing a magnet up and down my arms earlier today because I had told him I had had all my vaccines! Some people's parents should have been bloody sterilised (2 bricks and a lot of gin) no don't waste the Gin before they were conceived.
I have a friend who believes most conspiracy theories. His rant to me at the weekend was, if during the whole of 2003 the British Government had installed machine guns on their/our coastal defence (laughable description I know) craft and shot every person, man, woman, child attempting to cross the channel illegally, less persons would have perished since during the following period up to now. Also saving the government over £14.8 Billion in un-appreciated care, detainment and social costs. There was also a consideration of costs of training, armaments and councilling for the naval staff involved.
I have to say we are 'Doomed', doomed. I can only appreciate the epithet 'Don't Panic' because I am reaching for a Gin. The day will end well. But not necessarily our country.

Re: Where I am today
Last year watering my veg, drove me nuts (1 hour plus every day) this summer.
So I have bought some hose timers.. Thought a bit of automation might help.
Been testing. Absolutely brilliant. £25 for 2 separate outputs. Good build, & simple, to set.
Need to reorganise stuff now, so most things get watered that way.
Certainly the winter veg will benefit.

Re: Where I am today
Hasn't stopped raining here for 2 days. I might build an ark.
Wife has just reminded me that I have my Covid booster and flu jab at local school today. Obviously the conspiracy theorists are wrong aren't they, no point in injecting me with 2 transponders to track where I am is there?
Before that I am helping my wife help our friend who does catering fo a small wedding reception at a local hall.
After having my trackers installed I will 'do' grocery. I note tonic water prices are increasing again. Shortly it will cost more than the Gin.
I have decided to practice Self Hypnosis and ASC again, haven't done it for years. I hope it will help reduce some of the anger, frustration (depression?) I am experiencing currently.
Lamb for dinner this evening.
I will also try and motivate myself to complete some contour drawing.

Blimey I did Self Hypnosis to have some teeth removed (don't ask) years ago. I have found it a useful tool for calming the mind and getting to sleep.
Recently however I have been having cold showers (no laughing at the back!). Wim hoff thingy. They really give you a lift, and although swimming is hard work for me, I really could get into thing cold water swimming thing.

Id recommend a bit of swimming Mash
it really refreshes you!
The water temps are definitely starting to drop though. Our local is probably around the 11 or 12oC mark now.

Re: Where I am today
I like the idea. But 2 minor hiccups. There isn't any anywhere near me & I sink. Although a wetsuit does help slightly with the latter, it defeats the object.

Re: Where I am today
Yes. Superman rides a bike. I at 61 years old can still do a std 1/4 in an hour. I have a 69 year old friend who joins us once a year to ride from Telford to the Welsh coast and back in a day. Dependant on the route we decide upon and the pubs we stop at around 160 miles. He perhaps doesn't take on board the fluids we do, but, serouisly, I would have to take f******* big breaths to outpass him in a sprint. The puppies would not not even contest.
Swimming, yes. I was a lifeguard in cornwall. No tits around then, you had to free dive to 10m and pick up a barrel. Then some un emacepated employment tribunal changed the rules. Then we all had a change of focus.

I can free drive 10m pop, it's just getting back up. People don't believe you when you say you sink.

Re: Where I am today
Yes, I accept we would sink. It was a struggle to get back to the light. I can't confirm that we do actual sink. I have never spoken to anyone who reported that they had either. The option of not struggling to get to the surface seem, well, rather finite. I think we have all learnt to not exhale all of your retained noxide until you surface, then at least you retain some buoyant volume. F*** the puppies, let em drown.

Re: Where I am today
You misunderstood me. I sink. I am negatively buoyant. I can hold my breathe and sink slowly. If I breathe out I sink fast. I can't tread water.
I can however lay on the bottom of a swimming pool for a couple of minutes and frighten the shite out of people

Re: Where I am today
I sink if I partially/mostly exhale while underwater. I assume everyone exhales before they breath in,even if they are desperate for air/breath. When you cpr someone they always cough (sometimes fluid) or exhale violently before they breath in.
Are you a big lad, heavy bones? Just kidding, always wondered about that statement. It's just about displacement, I am sure you know this. If you at that time you have a mass less than a kilo per litre of volume you will float if your mass is more you will sink. This ofcourse only applies to fresh water, the Dead Sea you would float anyway. I can remember seeing steel ball bearings floating in mercury. Relative, isn't it. That's the good thing about Gin compared to many other bodily fluids, you are more likely to remain above.......
Now I am drinking Gin..

Oh I don't think so.
As I typed, relative isn't it.
Unfortunately, sometimes the 'light weights survive and propagate'.
I think sterilisation of many people should be exercised.
Or otherwise the rule of 'lowest common denominator' rather than natural selection will, I hate to say it 'continue'.
I would ask the question 'How stupid can or will people be???', the answer may not be evident as you presumably have 2 or more brain cells that interact and communicate. However, unfortunately, that is becoming 'not the norm'.
No patience here........
If that's not Pc, you should question your values. Do you want to survive with you are offspring or not.

Re: Where I am today
I remember this thread affectionately from StillSmart, anyone know what happened to Brian?
Today I’ve fired up my still for the first time since this time last year (long story) I made two 40lt (out or date) Vodka Star wash’s with 10kg of sugar in each, this one been sitting in the still for over a week so thought it was about time I turned the dam thing on

Re: Where I am today
Wasn't Brian around at the same time as Jesus?
May have been something I watched.
Was it Spike who said at an award performance that Prince Charles (now our Nobel King) was a 'grovelling, or was it snivelling, little bastard'.?
All good here. Hope you find Brian.

Re: Where I am today
Mmm. I am up far earlier than I expected. The B cat can read the clock. His habit which we refer to as 'thump a boop' includes jumping on our bed with 4 rigid legs for maximum impact effect and then hitting my face with his face not too gently. My wife also then awake said 'if he has just dive bombed the bed it's 7am, your turn Daddy!'. Makes me wish I had changed more nappies 25 years ago, perhaps now it would be my wife's turn!
So a visit to BrewGenie today. Also I fancy roe fritters for tea. Must be a can of that to be found somewhere. Never cooked them myself.
While my wife was away I rediscovered 'dog fritters' (corned beef), very nice with pickled beetroot. I had Rhubarb crumble and rum clotted cream afterwards on that day, all very pleasant. I am also leaning towards gooseberry and Gin fool.
Yes roe and gooseberries. Seems to go together.

Roe Frites were very good. I did make a mess producing bread crumbs.....So was the Gin and gooseberry fool. Wife had an Indian dish.
I woke cat up today at 8am. Fresh percolated coffee yummy, I am sure not as yummy as before wife put percolator in dish washer. I was working towards the day when all I had to do was add water and hopefully there would be enough retained flavour to get a good brew out without adding coffee. That once again is a few months away. Women always interfere don't they? And not usually in a pleasant naughty way....Such is life.
