Over 40 years ago, in my village, my best friend Steven had an elder sister, on that Saturday/ Sunday afternoon she mounted on to the back of her boyfriends new moped, they glided off to the end of the road, at the junction he waited as a car approached. He then pulled away, she fell off the back of the bike, she hit her head on the asphalt. She didn't then move. Ever.
Her family moved away, aparantly her mom could not continue to pass where her first born had died. I understand.
My wife and I had many discussions before our son bought a motorbike. He survived, if he had not, I have no doubts I would not be evident on this forum.
This Saturday, I noticed a young lady 15/16/17 years old riding around the carpark in front of our town house on a new small motor bike, no helmet. I was traumatised. I went into the garage, grasped my cycle helmet and followed her. I found her family, maybe 50 m away and gave it to the man I assumed is her father, and said please give her this. He told me she was only practicing. I replied, ' Now, how many daughters can you afford to loose?' . On her return he thanked me and said they had been unwise, as accidents do happen.
This evening a few minutes ago, a younger young boy was completing what I can only describe as vehicular acrobatics on an E scooter, I was mesmerised, no noise, very quick, seamless changes in direction and tempo, bloody good.
I was brewing coffee at the time, peculator, mountain blend. Then I thought.
Now I type this. The young lad had no helmet, was traveling at greater m/s, much more likely to injure himself.
I am still considering my attitude.
I do not usually digest caffeine this late pm.

Re: Changing perspective.
I can only agree.
I am having "a thing" about kids on L's on scooters.
They are putting there feet out to go around corners. Ankles break off. I have seen it.
I really admire your action with the father, but I feel helpless to do anything.

Re: Changing perspective.
We move on. I hope I always appreciate the changes of perspective, we all move on to a different place, always viewing a different perspective.
Unfortunatly sometimes the same perspective because we/some have not learned. F*** putin, he should be given peace now.
Given an opportunity I would complete the task, I would be at peace, it would be a worthwhile epitaph.
