Last weekend my wife and I visited our neighbour's house for a drink with other friends.
I took my Gin hod, a beautiful wooden box wit a handle, it contained 2 bottles of Gin, bitters, lemon etc, a sharp knife, tonic water, a small bottle of pastis and a bottle of red wine. Everything I needed which may not be next door. Everyone has glasses, yes?
While there another neighbour picked up my glass and said 'May I?'. I said yes but I could easily make you a drink.
They tasted and the said 'wow' that's strong. They agreed it tasted good, could they have one with less Gin/alcohol? I supplied the necessary, and noted they choose a concoction that was approx 40ml Gin (at 40%Ab) and 200ml of tonic. I.e. 1:5 ratio.
My wife and others noted all of this, the conversation turned to my drinking habits. I was chastised and criticised. I have a mentality similar to that of a deaf rhino who just happens to be a high functioning sociopath with Asperger s. I continued with and enjoyed my evening.
Mmm however, I am mindful of my health.
This weekend, I have not a drink on Friday, Saturday or yesterday. I am now going to enjoy a few G&T. I haven't been stressed or agitated which appears to have concerned my wife more that last weekend! My wife asked me why then did I need the alcohol? I pointed out that I genuinely don't know if it is a need, I enjoy the flavour and it mellows me, ....with me.
I am now going to create a 0% Abv Gin from all the flavouring and essences and see or taste is obviously the correct 'sense' where that goes.....
I know this is a distilling forum, as anyone here created low/Abv 0%Abv Spirits which taste as good as the real thing?

WG I think a 0% alcoholic drink should be called PISS !
Went to see the nurse several years ago she asked if I drank, I said yes of an evening.
Then came the lecture blah blah 21 units! I asked what a unit was? She said half a pint
so the limit is ten and a half pints correct? I then said Monday to Thursday I was under,
but would try to cut down a little at the weekend. She then said it was a limit for the
whole week and not just a day. She wasn't happy, but I don't know which one she was.
Maybe Grumpy.

I had similar lecture. The trouble is not the lecture, the issue for me is there is not facts. The number of units appears to be whatever they decide. Alcohol is not bad for you.
Ok rant over.
0% is hard to brew. Because the alcohol extracts the flavours in the bots, but then you want to extract the alcohol. Centrifugal force is normally the weapon of choice. So a large cheque is required.
I have made low% my making, with double the ammount of bots and then diluting to 20%. This works to a point.
Another easy way is to put still spirits essence into bottle of tonic.
You need a syringe... I *think* it was about 2ml.
Essence make FANTASTIC ice cream.

I got there myself, 1.5ml of the SS top shelf essence is enough. My first G&T this evening, big glass, lots of ice, lemon slice, lemon squeeze, the essence and tonic. It takes the edge away, very pleasant taste. Straight away reduces my alc input by 25+ % each day. We all have 3 or 4 large ones each day, yes.
As you said, just a syringe required.
Fortunatly we have lots of that, even to create my own flavours.
But then, what am I going to do with this?

Difficult barstard, lets work it out... 4mm internal dia, 70mm long. In ml, (cc). 3.14159 x 0.2 x 0.2 x 7.0 = 0.8796ml oddly enough I thought it was about 1 ml/cc. So I suck it up to the 0.5ml line on syringe. Tastes good. X
