A persistent Cough.

Post by WelshGin »

I have a warning to others...

A friend has a persistent cough, been with him since he had covid September/October last year. After he had been nagged a few times he visited the doctors. Mainly because it was pointed out to him that the weight loss he had been trying to achieve in an effort to be healthier he was now achieving (which was not usual).

His doctor eventually sent him for a scan. Lung Cancer.

Persistent Cough, weight loss......GET IT INVESTIGATED!!!

Good shout.

Tbh I have no faith in GP's whatsoever. They seem to have become prescription pedlars little else.

The NHS up here run a lung cancer screening platform. We have both been invited to take part
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

If it’s broken, it might be my fault, is my responsibility and there is even a slight chance I can fix it 😳

He did smoke, he was in the army. He stopped smoking 10-15 years ago. He assumes the smoking and then covid triggered the cancer.
