Weird stills......

.....not what I'm used to...

All copper, a picture to behold, but at what price ?? I've started looking for a still now we are getting more settled...we have our provisional residence permit, which now has to be approved.

I happened on a video the other day about a vodka maker that I remembered when it first came out some years back.
I can remember watching a guy on YouTube doing a demo, and I left it at that and forgot about it until the other day.

This was the video...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6J_sBa_JqM

One point I have to consider is the size of any equipment I want or need to enjoy my hobby. I loved my Icebot, but brother, was she big setup fully I had an inch or two off the ceiling in the garage....no way would she fit into our way of life now.

After a chat with Mrs Ice, who thought it was the best of the options I have, so I've looked further into importing one from South Africa, not ordered just yet, still waiting on those very important pieces of paperwork.

Company site....https://www.myvodkamaker.com/

I will go for the plus and maybe the display....fingers crossed.

Ice.

The first example looks like it was modelled on a WW2 sea mine!
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

If it’s broken, it might be my fault, is my responsibility and there is even a slight chance I can fix it 😳

I've seen a lot worse, mate

To start again in this hobby and finish with a still like the one I put together back in the UK would be nigh on impossible, feasible but costly.

This is where the MVM unit will be a godsend, for now I have to sit on my hands and wait.

I've read about the continuous stills that the big boys use, and then came across this guy who worked all the science out and fitted in a small unit.

I can't wait, but I have too.
