However, by my reckoning I am in at 32p - And that does not include's crown caps.
It is been a day or two since I worked it out.
However, against a shop price of £1.75 per bottle. It's a 55 quid saving every batch !!

Re: The Klarstein options
35p a pint sounds expensive.
I re-cycle yeast and crown tops.
If I don't factor in my time or electrickery, I am producing my two regular brews, one at 5.3% and one at 5.8% for around 20p a pint.
I will make the first million here.
Robert.

However, I will admit to wasting 20 squiddleys on CO2 bottles due to cheap, crappy valves and/ or seals for my three barrels.

Re: The Klarstein options
35p was just a rough guess. But what ever it is ,my beer tastes
better and is a lot cheaper than shop bought. It is also stronger.
So what I was really saying was be careful kiddies, it is possible
to have to much fun, my Mum did with her fags.

Re: The Klarstein options
did you feed him spent grain to?
wondering if you ferment on the grain and then feed the pig the spent grain if you premarinade the meat with the booze left in grain?

Re: The Klarstein options
I probably should not have, but do not consider spent grain to be "kitchen waste", so my piggies had around 175Kg of spent grain in their time here.
I think giving them grain with inherent alcohol may be dangerous, they were manic enough without alcohol!

ED "I bought direct from Klarstein via Amazon and had it delivered for £283.98."
Well thanks a lot guys, you've just made me spend money on one of these....
joking aside Robert or anyone else is thinking about buying one...I ordered yesterday and paid £179.99 through Klarstein free P&P....3 to 5 days del...in fact the 30ltr was only £20 more?? but 25lt is best for me.
The more I get my head around this gout and find out that moderate amounts of beer are ok, I've concluded that making beer again is the way forward for me.
Must find my old beer recipe book out and get onto Malt Miller for the grain.
Ice.

No I'll have a look tomorrow, we've been looking after the campsite for the owner to go on holls...I've used all my data on my phone so I have to wait to get back on our B-band... back home.....tomorrow.
I'm back home at the mo.....I need to spray the log burner so I can get that back in as these nights are getting colder. When that's done I'm having some time in the garage to sort it out and clear up to make some work space.
