I just fail completely to be able to follow how those two particular flavour properties could match in any way - all I can imagine is a mega flavour conflict

Some grappa has a very short ageing in a juniper barrel. Very easy to overdo it though. Use sparingly.

I have we found a chippie in Helensburg when we were in the sub base for the weekend, a good few years back.

Seem to recall being 9 parts pissed and still thinking YUM (twas certainly a change from a "messy burger" in Pompey)........
