I wish I had more time...........
Between work and life, as with many, bloody work dominates..........
I wish it didn't. So much to read that I've missed and so little time to read it.........
Very annoying that work always seems to interrupt and obstruct life.........

I know what you mean. I don't work in an office, but gone are the days where you were allowed to be offline, when not working. And there seems to be no time or energy after the daily grind now.

my way of sorting my own work life ballance
Always make folks ask for stuff twice, if they don't ask a second time it's not that important

Indeed. Sure, my work doesn't take much effort, but up to a max of 10 hours a day, intense concentration seems as mentally draining as the same amount of time digging holes etc, by hand...........Mash wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2020 6:54 am I know what you mean. Equally, I have trouble trying to understand why "they" seem to want everything done at warp speed. It makes no sense.

Which is fine, unless you work somewhere with paranoid management, who've had HR or accounts install a system wide keylogger........Swedish Pride wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2020 8:29 am I'm in an office and do as little work as i can an as much reading on the forums as I can.

I feel you phantom!
On top of full time work, I'm a Scout leader which takes up more time than I'd like it to.
Plus of course family (7 and 8 years old girls).
I have WAY too many hobbies. God bless timer switches for stripping runs on the Airstill

Seem to recall thinking about one some years ago, before I had better (relative) kit.
But at least it'd let the AS rumble away. And reduce the time by about half.......
As for the actual time working etc, it's a pain because many seem to have no sense of urgency. Hell, even here (a paper mill), all booked in (so arrived on time), and sitting here waiting for instruction on next move, so including the arrivals nonsense, been here 50 minutes.
Might not seem long, but a few minutes here and there mean I might not get home tonight.........

I set it to run overnight, empty and re-set in the morning to run during the day and if I make it home with enough time to fit it in I'll get one in the evening too.phantom wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2020 11:42 amNow that's an idea, timer switch..........DorsetScott wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2020 9:54 am I feel you phantom!

Means I can strip a wash in 2-3 days and I let the low wines sit in a dj until I have more time to be there for the spirit run.

Used timers for ages. Brilliant.
The pin type are best. You can set them to do "off" only, so if you forget, it doesn't matter, cos it never comes on, on its own.

It seems to me, that phantom may be trying to deliver to places manned by people using their office time to read up online!
