Re: Where I am today
My nose has never looked the same since a golf club and my mate's bike got tangled on a hill some 40 odd years ago. He blames his chopper.

There is a new daddy on the square. Apricot Tea Gin.
Pint glass 6 cubes 2 orange slices, 2 big fingers of red
eye and topped up with Schweepes s/line Tonic with
a hint of Slug. Nothing like a couple of G&t's before
Dinner.
Now the Cricket is finished The Open Golf has started
love it, a football free zone, sport for educated alkies.

Do we have to slice them she said??
I resisted the urge to take her to the Golden Arches (mcDonalds)
we went to Pizza Express for an American Hot, very nice.
Mash in whatever form I think she would not eat our chosen food

Re: Where I am today
It has taken me about 5 days what used to take an hour or two, namely put a new pc together.
Luckily I never tried to build a still.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

But does it know the answer?
Or even understand the question?
Is it called 'The Earth' , does it have mice running the wrong way through mazes?
And are you Slotty Baardfarst?
Robert.

Re: Where I am today
Strange day.
My mate not to far away had a field fire (and 40 firetighters) later I got soaked when the heavens opened while I was setting up the irrigation. Finally I got in the hot tub with a glass... to cool down!!!

Re: Where I am today
So amongst all the excitement here yesterday and today, and trying to get some work done, and some beer brewed, and another beer bottled, and some spirit stilled, the cat gave me some grief.
This is the feral cat that I took in 18 months ago.
I still cannot pick him up, but he comes and goes, (has learned to use a cat flap) for fuss and food, and likes to show off his mousey catches before eating them whole.
(To worm this cat, I have to steal a mouse from him and insert a worming tablet into it.)
So, he grew an abcess on his face a few days ago, a trip to the vet was definitely not an option.
Well, this morning his face exploded. Yukky mess.
On my way to collect some anti-biotics from the vet, I was fortunate enough to find a fresh road-kill Hare, his favoutite food.
He ate the first pieces of hare so fast, he didn't notice the inserted anti-biotics.
Hopefully I have enough for the remaining 9 doses.
Robert.

Very rewarding helping the 'wild life' stick at it, at skeet level I think they know we are helping them despite all the claws & teeth
