Just re-reading this and I'm up for giving that Birds recipe a go, adding too much acholfrol and it does inhibit the freezing a smidgin..

Birds method is great. The Honey Bourbon is splendid.

Sugar and alcohol will make it ice-cream smooooother cos they don't freeze.

Which machine do you have?

We've had it for years, it is a Cuisinart Compressor Ice Cream Maker ICE50BCU.

Another batch is going on today, chances are it won't last long

I miss my younger days when I could eat sweet stuff, with no effect.
My daily spoon of honey, from my bees, is now all I can manage.
I am not going to die a fat fecker.
And just maybe, I will get a few more years?

I crave sweet stuff all the time. It’s awful and I love ice cream

I dont crave sweet.
Dont even like most of it anymore.
My no added sugar strawberry jam is as far as I can go these days.
And Sloe gin, but I probably prefer that with less sugar than most would.
It has just been a 20 year change in taste,
20 years ago I could eat a dozen Mars bars a day, it must be over a dozen years since I ate one!
This fortuitous change does help ofset the Carbs. in my daily beer intake..

I enjoy sweet occasionally. I am always given a toblerone bar at Christmas, I opened it that day, haven't finished it yet. If I was to be given an Easter egg, it would be from a stranger.

Pork pie and mustard please. Dry and savoury......Mmmmm.

I cannot remember the last time I had ice cream in any form, maybe LLandudno on the beach about 6 - 8 years ago, I remember it didn't sit well on the beer I had been consuming.......

Never done this recipe, but we have all the above.

Have a go...

1pint Milk made into runny custard with custard powder.
Then add a tin of condensed milk.
Cool and then add vanilla monin to taste. Think its about 3 tablespoons maybe a bit more.

Really easy.
