Bargain...50L Stainless Conical Fermenter offer on Amazon.

When you see an offer that's "too good to be true" it usually isn't!
However..... this one is genuine.

I bought one of these 50L fermenters earlier this year thinking it was a bargain.
Vevor retail them at about £303.

I got mine from Amazon. Mainly as its returns policy is good and for £160, which was a big reduction.
I spotted them on Amazon today and they are now £90 delivered.
Almost tempted to buy a second one at that price.

Its even cheaper than the Vevor 25L version.

I found that its typical cheap Chinese quality. However, its solid, and strong, not thin steel at all.
I did have a leak but they hadn't put any PTFE tape around the tap or thermometer threads. Stupid me should have checked first!
Soon sorted that, and its been fine since.
The thermometer works well but has no control output, but I will be changing it for a full Thermowell that will take my Inkbird probe.

Just though I would let everyone know.

Anyone know the power consumption on this please. Sooo tempted as it's certainly gonna be easier than my 2 buckets sat in heat pads.

Naw Eat I dont think there is any power comsumption. Its just a fancy fermenter. Mind you it looksa the biz.

No power requirements. Its just a conical stainless bucket!

I use a soil heating cable, with an Inkbird, and some double foil bubble wrap as insulation.
Mine is locked in the garage, and is maintaining a steady 22C without any additional cooling.
The upside is the trub all collects in the cone at the bottom. I just wish it had a Yeast dump valve. Although should be easy enough to weld a Triclamp ferrule on and cut out the centre to give you an outlet.
If you want full heating and cooling and all stainless, then it will cost you a lot more than £90 per fermenter.

Yes, it seems to be up to its original price. At £90, it was a real bargain.
I was so tempted to buy another at that price, but I don't really need it.
