Robert (Easydrinker)??

Post by StillDave »

I noticed that Robert hasn't been here since October. Anyone know why? :?: :|

Years ago there was a guy in the office who, after fighting it on manfully at most clubs & bars, decided to marry. I asked him if he was worried.. "only about the hangover" was his reply.

Seasonal Felicitations one and all.
It is your presence that keeps us going.

I have been climbing a personal mountain for a few months.
I have a good friend in an ICU , for over 2 months now.
Over two months of liquidised hospital food,-through his nose!
Not Covid, some other virus snuck into his body and wiped out his immune system, and inflamed his spinal chord.
He may never control his legs or bladder again.
We are working on his neck and arms.
He remains bright and positive.
And I visit every vacant slot, to try and cheer him on.

This messes with my head, as I, personally would be seeking an out.

Anyways, have yourselves a fun festive season.
Have fun and be happy.
It is not about tinsel and shit gifts, it is about spending time, or even thoughts, with folk you love.

Here endeth the lesson :)

I have lost 2 friends in the last 2 weeks. One was only 41. Not the best time of year to lose people, not that anytime is "best".
The youngster has had a feeding tube for best part of a year and lived near Glasgow. Hope its not a mutual friend.
Hope you all recover and manage to get back to some form of normality.
Thinking of them, their families and of course, everyone on here.

Ele.
