I was thinking foraged once we're allowed back to the seaside! Bought sounds much simpler though.

Small sputnik runs was the plan :+1:

I would not even paddle in the sea. My toes are staying buried in my sheepskin slippers ,
nice and warm and dry.

If you want any foraging advice Jenny then just shout. Seaweeds are a great foragable, and sugar kelp is easy to ID too.
It's really common down my way, not sure of it's prevalance up by you but it's a VERY common one so would expect the same.

You can probably get it from a rocky shore too at low tide
I'm not under the affluence of incahol, thinkle only peep I am. Its just the drunker I sit here the longer I get.

low tide still sounds wet. Wet sounds cold.

Cold sounds like me and Gazza are safer in sheepskin slippers.

So. I took a couple of nights off from the site for some re-evaluation of time put in and benifits taken away.
I will no longer be online every day.
But the days, (nights, actually) that I am, I will give 100%.

Sadly, Jen and I live a short drive from a shore.
Nicola would have us locked up for foraging.
But, there is indeed all manner of seaweed not far away.

I too would value your advice.

Is Irish moss forageable? Tried finding it a couple of times with mixed results?

Yup, Carrageen is very common. Possibly a little harder to locate sometimes as it's quite nondescript and not a particularly large seaweed

The small redish one or the parsley looking one. Mr Google can't make up his mind.

Top of my head it's a reddish colour, but I'd have to check my books at home to confirm
